WHAT IS A VISUAL YANTRA ?
Yantra is a visual representation of Mantra in a geometrical form. Yantra is a construct to focus the mental energy, which facilitates the communion with cosmic energy reservoir.
Gazing at a Yantra intently and chanting the appropriate Mantra results in increased brain wave coherence. Yantras are steps to higher levels of consciousness.
Each Yantra is energized with appropriate Mantra. Each Yantra resonates with the chanting of its corresponding Mantra. Mantra for a person is chosen by a Guru after knowing the physical, mental and psychological traits of the person. “Mantra deeksha” is the ceremony in which guru initiates the disciple to a chosen Mantra. The Yantra energized with corresponding mantra in tune with the person’s physical, mental and psychological state will equip the person to resonate with the cosmic power.Yantra thus transports the seeker to the plane of pure energy and bliss. Yantra worship leads to a state of physical, mental and psychological well being expressed by the incessant flow of creative energy.
At a time when physical science understands the matter-energy nonduality more than ever, it is amazing how advanced ancient Indians were in understanding the cosmic phenomena.
Colors of Yantra have special significance. Colors stimulate the mind and help balance the “doshas”
